The Opportunity:

The Climate-Ready Agriculture Coordinator provides regional leadership and operational oversight for a range of soil and climate-focused projects, to ensure delivery of contracted outcomes, alignment with the Board’s Regional Landscape Plan Priorities and effective use of resources.

The position exercises a high level of professional judgement, initiative and accountability in managing complex functions, budgets, partnerships and stakeholder expectations. The coordinator also provides leadership to a small team, works closely with the Hills and Fleurieu community, landscape board staff and a diverse range of partners and networks (industry, peak bodies and government) to design and implement successful climate-ready agriculture initiatives.

As Climate-Ready Agriculture Coordinator, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate the Climate-Ready Agriculture program across the region, including the design, implementation and evaluation of initiatives that deliver regional priorities.
  • Establish and leverage strategic partnerships across government, industry and community, providing high-level advice and influence coordinated, system-wide climate-ready agriculture outcomes.
  • Provide authoritative advice on program design, performance and policy, including leading monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of climate-ready agriculture initiatives
  • Ensure employees are mentored, professionally developed, empowered and motivated to perform at their highest level, collaboratively achieving the board's priorities.

The details:

  • 1x part-time (30 hrs/per week), ASO6 Climate-Ready Agriculture Coordinator
  • Term position to 30 June 2027, (with possible extension), available immediately 
  • Located in Mount Barker, South Australia, with flexible working arrangements negotiable

Remuneration:

$105,747 – $111,854 per annum (ASO6) – pro-rata for part-time hours

Requirements:

  • National Police Check
  • Current class “C” driver’s license and willingness to drive is essential
  • Australian residency or a current work permit
