About Us

Picture a career that’s more than numbers. At the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), we’re building a world‑class Treasury for South Australia—one that’s innovative, collaborative, and future‑focused.

We’re South Australia’s lead agency for economic, digital, and financial policy outcomes. Our work touches every corner of the state, from enabling frontline services to driving digital transformation. And we do it all with one purpose: to make life better for the people who call South Australia home.

Why This Role Matters

The Government’s primary financial management system Masterpiece, used by most SA Government agencies excluding SA Health, is over 30 years old and nearing the end of its service life. The Finance Reform Program is leading a major initiative to replace it with Oracle and implement best practice processes. This transformation will significantly change how finance functions are performed across agencies and affect a wide range of stakeholders, including finance, ICT, and operations teams.

As a Deployment Manager, you’ll help drive strong financial integrity and trusted reporting across government. Your work will support better decisions, major system reform, and outcomes that genuinely matter for South Australia.

About the Opportunity

In this role, you will:

  • Lead deployment activities that transition agencies onto a new, contemporary financial management system
  • Coordinate complex schedules, stakeholders and readiness activities to ensure successful go‑lives
  • Build strong, trusted relationships across government during a period of significant change
  • Support program governance through clear reporting, risk management and issue escalation
  • Guide and support deployment team members to deliver outcomes in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment
  • Contribute to a program shaping the future of finance across the South Australian public sector

Remuneration

ASO8 ($125,649 - $130,392 p.a.) + 12% Superannuation

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Brings strong experience delivering complex programs or projects in large, multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Communicates with confidence and builds productive, trusted relationships
  • Thrives on coordination, planning and keeping complex work moving forward
  • Leads with clarity, accountability and a calm approach under pressure
  • Enjoys supporting people through change and creating momentum toward shared outcomes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and applies sound judgement, initiative and problem‑solving in dynamic settings
