We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Cyber Security Advisor to join the Office of the Chief Information Officer at the Department of Treasury and Finance on an ongoing basis.

Remuneration:  ASO6 – Salary Range ($102,171 - $108,071 p.a.).

About the opportunity:

The Senior Cyber Security Advisor is responsible for the provision of specialist advice and expertise to management of the division and department. The Senior Cyber Security Advisor will provide cyber security risk & assurance, governance and advisory functions within the Cyber Security team and support the secure delivery of whole of government ICT systems and services.

About you:

To be successful you will:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging security threats by monitoring industry sources and integrating threat intelligence into the security environment.
• Provide technical and policy advice to support Cyber Security initiatives within the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
• Promote and enhance cyber security awareness, change control, and access management practices by providing guidance and advice to committees, managers, and staff.
• Design, document, and implement effective cyber security processes, procedures, guidelines, and solutions.
• Review solution designs, conduct security risk assessments, contribute to Architecture Review Group (ARG) activities, and support projects from a cyber security perspective.
