ABOUT Us 

The South Australian Certificate of Education Board (SACE Board) of South Australia’s primary role is the provision of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) to government, non-government and international schools. 

Our purpose is to “shape education so that students thrive” which is achieved through working closely with our stakeholders to inspire, innovate and create the best outcomes for students and their communities so that SACE Graduates are capable to construct their own futures to contribute to a sustainable and socially just world.

Make your mark in a dynamic role working with SACE International schools and key South Australian international education stakeholders. 

The Education Manager, SACE International is accountable to the Director, Education Services for leading a team of curriculum and assessment experts to provide educational expertise, professional learning and support activities for SACE International schools in-line with the SACE International Strategy 2025-2029.  

What you will BRING 

  • Experience in leading a high performing team to deliver on outcomes that align to the agency’s strategic plan and SACE International priorities. 
  • Experience in the application and evaluation of curriculum and assessment in senior secondary education including professional learning and support.  
  • Understanding and/or experience of national and/or international directions in curriculum, assessment, and quality assurance. 
  • Extensive discipline knowledge and subject matter expertise (SME) in one or more subject areas. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Experience and passion for working in international education and/or within cross-cultural contexts. 
  • Solution-oriented mindset and proven ability to address challenges and solve problems that require a high level of critical thinking, creativity, and resourcefulness. 

Qualifications 

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in education, management, or related field. 

Special Conditions 

  • International travel is required.  
  • Annual performance agreement for the achievement of specific service or program outcomes. 
  • Some out-of-hours work. 
  • The incumbent works under the SACE Board of South Australia Act 1983. 
  • An intense time of activity occurs between October and January. Planned leave may not be possible during this period. 
  • Appointment is subject to a satisfactory working with children check obtained through the Department of Human Services to be renewed every 5 years before expiry.

Remuneration 

ASO8 classification level. $125,649 - $130,392 per annum plus superannuation. 

This is a term vacancy up to 3 years.
