About Us

Picture a career that’s more than numbers. At the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), we’re building a world‑class Treasury for South Australia—one that’s innovative, collaborative, and future‑focused.

We’re South Australia’s lead agency for economic, digital, and financial policy outcomes. Our work touches every corner of the state, from enabling frontline services to driving digital transformation. And we do it all with one purpose: to make life better for the people who call South Australia home.

Why This Role Matters

The Government’s primary financial management system Masterpiece, used by most SA Government agencies excluding SA Health, is over 30 years old and nearing the end of its service life. The Finance Reform Program is leading a major initiative to replace it with Oracle Fusion and implement best practice processes. This transformation will significantly change how finance functions are performed across agencies and affect a wide range of stakeholders, including finance, ICT, and operations teams.

As a Management Reporting SME, you’ll play a key part in a once-in-a-generation finance transformation—helping shape how financial information is delivered, understood, and used across government to support better outcomes for South Australians.

About the Opportunity

You’ll contribute to shaping how financial reporting is designed and delivered across government through a major FRP transformation program.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with agencies to shape smarter, more consistent reporting outcomes
  • Influence how financial insights are delivered through modern tools and dashboards
  • Translate business needs into clear, impactful reporting solutions
  • Support the rollout of standardised, best-practice reporting across government
  • Contribute to a large-scale transformation replacing legacy systems with Oracle
  • Help build capability through training, testing, and stakeholder engagement

Remuneration

ASO7 ($112,163 – $121,246 p.a.) + 12% Superannuation

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Brings strong experience in management reporting, analytics or business intelligence
  • Engages confidently with stakeholders to understand and shape requirements
  • Translates complex needs into clear, practical reporting solutions
  • Thinks analytically and solves problems with attention to detail
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
  • Brings a collaborative mindset and contributes to shared outcomes
