About the Business

Disability Aged Care

Our Disability and Specialised Services provides valuable support to the South Australian Community through direct service delivery, inclusion policy and sector reform work. Northgate Aged Care Facility is our 30-bed site where we support older Australians living with a disability to lead their best lives. We deliver quality care aligned to our rights-based, person-centred philosophy of "Everything about you, with you".

Role Details

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others?

Northgate Aged Care Facility is seeking compassionate, reliable and skilled individuals to join our team as Disability Services Officers (DIS02).

In this rewarding and hands-on role, you will work as part of a dedicated team to support older South Australians living with disability to maintain dignity, independence and quality of life.

You will play a key role in delivering person-centred care, supporting residents with daily living activities, personal care and social engagement, while ensuring a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.

This is a rostered (non-casual) position, requiring availability to work across weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates who:
•  have experience working in aged care settings (strongly desirable), particularly supporting older people with disability
•  demonstrate a clear commitment to person-centred practice and resident wellbeing
• are confident supporting individuals with diverse needs, including complex behaviours and communication needs
• understand and can work within Aged Care and NDIS Practice Standards
• are reliable and able to commit to a rostered role (not casual employment)
• have a strong focus on safety, respect, and quality care
• are committed to ongoing learning and professional development.

Special Conditions

To be eligible for this role, you must hold and be able to provide evidence of the following: 
• a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) (or equivalent qualification) is required
• you must be able to provide academic transcripts, which will be assessed to confirm eligibility for DIS02 classification
• a current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid)
• a current National Police Certificate (NPC) issued within the last six (6) months
• a current and valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS)
• a current Full Australian Driver's Licence (equivalent to SA Class C)
• willingness to provide a minimum of two (2) referees, including a current or recent line manager, who can complete an online referee report.
Failure to provide satisfactory evidence of the above requirements will result in your application not progressing.

Salary Range

$69,922-$76,192
