We are currently seeking applications for a Manager, Sourcing & Performance, to join the Commercial and Procurement Branch at The Department of Treasury & Finance for an ongoing role.

Remuneration:  ASO8 – Salary Range $125,649 – $130,392 p.a.

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Chief Negotiation Officer, this role leads the strategic sourcing function within the Commercial and Procurement Branch and is responsible for the leadership, direction and oversight of complex sourcing and procurement advisory activities across government.

About you

Working under broad direction, you will be highly organised, set priorities and manage competing demands in complex operating environments. This role ensures that sourcing services delivered by the Branch support whole-of-government priorities, deliver value for money outcomes, manage commercial and procurement risk, and strengthen procurement capability across Public Authorities.

To be successful you will:

  • Be experienced in identifying strategic and operational procurement issues and developing effective sourcing strategies aligned to organisational objectives.
  • Be experienced in providing high-level procurement and commercial advice on complex and sensitive sourcing initiatives.
  • Have strong leadership capability, including experience leading and developing professional teams and driving consistent standards of procurement practice.
  • Have Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive briefings, reports and recommendations.
  • Have proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders across organisations and industry.
