Grow your career in landscapes that matter

Join us in shaping a resilient future - working hand-in-hand with regional communities to nurture healthy and resilient landscapes. Whether you're on the ground, behind the scenes, or leading the way, your role helps us create a healthier, more sustainable region.

 About the role:

Are you an experienced leader who enjoys improving how organisations operate while leading the teams that keep them running every day?

As Team Leader Business and Governance, you’ll lead governance, risk, compliance, and organisational reporting while overseeing a team responsible for administration, fleet, facilities, and IT coordination across multiple sites.

You’ll provide advice to senior leaders, ensure legislative and policy obligations are met, and identify opportunities to improve organisational performance and accountability. At the same time, you’ll lead the delivery of essential business support services, ensuring they are efficient, responsive, and aligned with organisational priorities.

This role suits a leader who is equally comfortable discussing governance frameworks with senior leadership and working with staff to improve day-to-day operations. It’s a varied role with the opportunity to make tangible impact across the organisation.

What you’ll bring to the role:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in operational and/or strategic risk management, including maintaining risk registers, monitoring controls and treatments, and supporting risk reporting and assurance activities.
  • Experience developing or reviewing policies, procedures and controls to ensure legislative and organisational compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing people and work, including planning and prioritisation, performance management, issue resolution and capability development.
  • Proven experience coordinating complex projects and activities, involving multiple components or stakeholders, to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Experience in managing business support, information and records functions, with the ability to apply relevant legislation, policies and standards.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and written communication skills, including the ability to interpret complex information, identify issues and trends, and provide clear, practical advice to support executive decision‑making.
  • Demonstrated initiative, judgement and adaptability, including the ability to work effectively in a changing, customer‑focused environment and support the implementation of improved systems and practices (including change management principles).

 What you will need:

  • A Tertiary qualification in business administration or management, public sector administration, leadership or similar are considered highly desirable.
  • The position is based at Murray Bridge or Berri
  • A current minimum class C driver’s licence
  • Some out of hours work and intrastate travel involving overnight absences from home may be required
  • Eligibility for this position requires a valid Australian working visa.
  • Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.

Why you’ll enjoy working with the Business Support Team

The Business Support team is at the heart of the organisation, providing practical support that helps staff do their best work every day. Supporting functions such as administration, fleet, facilities and IT coordination, the team works across the organisation and builds strong relationships with people at all levels.

You’ll be joining a team that values collaboration, initiative and continuous improvement. There is plenty of variety in the work, opportunities to lead positive change, and the chance to make a real difference to how services are delivered and experienced by staff across the organisation.

If you enjoy solving problems, improving systems and leading people through change, this role offers the opportunity to make meaningful impact across the organisation.

You’ll also benefit from:

  • Meaningful work that aligns with your career goals - whether you're looking to lead, grow, specialise, or take a new direction.
  • Tailored development opportunities and flexible working arrangements that support your individual circumstances, where operationally possible.
  • Comprehensive wellbeing support, including access to Employee Assistance Programs and health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Attractive and competitive salary with annual increases.
  • Salary packaging options to help you maximise your take-home pay.
  • Generous leave entitlements to support work-life balance and personal wellbeing.
  • All essential equipment provided, including uniforms, mobile phones, laptops, and access to fleet vehicles.
