About the Role

As a Nurse Educator, you'll support the delivery of high quality nursing and midwifery care through education, mentorship and professional development.  You'll design, coordinate and evaluate learning programs, support students, graduate Nurses, EN Cadets, TPPP Nurses and Midwives, and work alongside clinical teams to strengthen workforce capability and promote evidence-based practice.

This role also provides leadership in education initiatives that improve clinical practice, support service improvement and contribute to positive patient outcomes.

About You

You are a collaborative and innovative Registered Nurse with a passion for developing others.  You communicate confidently, build strong relationships and can deliver engaging education that supports clinical excellence.  You are organised, adaptable and able to lead change while balancing competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment.

Essential Criteria

To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.  
  • Minimum three (3) years' post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in nursing/midwifery education or staff development.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply education principles to clinical practice.
