The Opportunity

Located at the Adelaide City Campus of TAFE SA, the Centre of Excellence exists to strengthen the Early Childhood Education and Care sector nationwide by collaborating with stakeholders on practical, transformative initiatives to address qualification and skill gaps, ensuring the sector meets current and future needs for lasting generational impact throughout Australia.

The Project Support Officer works as part of a small team to support the governance and administration of the Centre of Excellence through the provision of administrative, operational, and logistical support. Tasks include organising meetings, travel, workshops, maintaining accurate records, drafting routine correspondence, briefings, agendas, minutes and document preparation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Knowledge of a range of general administrative procedures, policy and systems applicable to a government environment including records management and broad knowledge of the functions and activities of an education provider.
  • Effective written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide timely responses and prioritise work, and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people. Interpersonal skills which foster the cooperation and support of others in the organisation.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks, work effectively as a team member and contribute to a positive team spirit.

What You Need to Know

A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
