Remuneration: CPW2 ($64,170 - $67,154) plus 12% superannuation

Role Details:

As a Support Worker situated in St Marys, you will create harmonious experiences between children and their birth families that reinforces DCP’s Practice Approach model. You will support the Social Worker by establishing meaningful assistance that is predicated on accurate research and emotional awareness. These qualities will be vital when handling sensitive requests from clientele to enact appropriate response measures. Your ability to connect children and young people to valuable services will profoundly shape wellbeing outcomes for clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage sensitive requests from clientele using conflict-resolution strategies and emotional awareness
  • Connect clients with suitable services and events that optimise their wellbeing
  • Assist research endeavours that assess beneficial programs and activities for children and young people
  • Observe routine case discussions with DCP staff and offer administrative support services to the team
  • Coordinate the purchase of shopping items for children and maintain office stationery, equipment and systems.

  • You can successfully handle challenging situations by enacting suitable persuasive and negotiation measures
  • You are an enthusiastic individual with competent networking abilities

About DCP

Special Conditions:

  • You must have a current Working With Children Check
  • You must have a current Australian driver’s licence (P2 or above) and a willingness to drive is essential
