We’re seeking a proactive and organised Industry Liaison Officer to provide administrative and customer support for the regulation of South Australia’s commercial kangaroo harvesting industry.
In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of the program, acting as a key contact for permit holders and stakeholders while ensuring processes run smoothly and accurately.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing kangaroo tag sales to permit holders.
  • Responding to enquiries and providing customer support.
  • Managing tag stock and maintaining accurate records.
  • Data entry, reporting and resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinating meetings, including agendas and minutes.
  • Managing the program mailbox and general administration.

You have strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a customer-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.

Contract: 
12 month contract

Special Conditions:

  • May be required to participate in responses to state emergencies or associated duties.
  • You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or provide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allows you to work in Australia without restrictions.
  • Prior to being employed, the successful applicant will be required to obtain a National Police Check.

A successful applicant who is not currently employed by the Department for Environment and Water will be required to have an original photo identification document sighted and provide a valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) issued within the last 12 months.

Remuneration: 
ASO2, $64,195 min - $67,154 max p.a.
