If you’re someone who sees contracts not just as paperwork, but as partnerships that enable impact, this could be your next opportunity.

About the Role:

As a Media and Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact strategic and operational communications that support learners, educators, and communities across South Australia and beyond. You’ll lead proactive and reactive media strategies, craft compelling content, and help strengthen the reputation and influence of the SACE Board as we work to shape education so that students thrive.

  • Shaping and delivering proactive media strategies that build understanding of the SACE and our reform agenda, including preparing highquality media materials, advising on sensitive issues and coordinating impactful spokesperson and Ministerial opportunities.
  • Working closely with colleagues, partners and media stakeholders to ensure our stories are accurate, aligned and grounded in the voices and experiences of the people we serve.
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, helping us refine processes, embed change and strengthen the way we communicate our purpose of shaping education so that students thrive.

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant experience or qualifications in journalism, communications, public relations, or similar
  • Ability to use Microsoft suite of software, virtual meeting and collaboration tools, and the ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to create engaging, audiencecentred content
  • Proven ability to develop media strategy and deliver multichannel communication activities
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A solutionsfocused approach, strong critical thinking, and creativity
  • Confidence communicating with people at all levels in a dynamic environment

We value diversity, innovation, and heart. If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Get

  • Meaningful work with impact, shaping the future of education in South Australia
  • Supportive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Professional development opportunities, including Agile Project Management
  • Annual Calendar of Learning, Development and Wellness events
