Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN)
- The Royal Adelaide Hospital, General Medicine
- MDP2 $99,707 to $158,523 p.a. + super + salary packaging
- Full time temporary contract available
Term of the Contract: 3 years (in line with clause 55 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement). At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to assist find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3-year contract, if necessary.

About the Role
Join CALHN as a Medical Education Registrar and play a key role in delivering high-quality care within a General Medical Unit. Working closely with Consultants, Junior Medical Officers, Nurses and Allied Health professionals, you will manage complex medical patients, coordinate care and contribute to positive patient outcomes across a diverse range of clinical presentations.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to further develop your clinical expertise while supporting the education and supervision of junior staff and medical students. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, contribute to quality improvement initiatives and help deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care across the continuum of patient treatment and recovery.
About You
You are a motivated and skilled Medical Practitioner with a strong commitment to clinical excellence and professional growth. Ready to contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team, you bring integrity, adaptability, and a focus on safe, patient-centred care.
- Qualifications and Registration
Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with general registration through the Medical Board of Australia.
- Clinical Competence and Professionalism
Demonstrated clinical skills, personal integrity, and a commitment to ongoing medical education and quality improvement.
- Teamwork and Communication
Effective communication skills, respect for multidisciplinary team members, and openness to constructive feedback.
- Knowledge and Eligibility
Eligible for Advanced Training with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, with sound understanding of medico-legal issues, patient rights, and SA Health policies
