We have an opportunity for a Research Services Officer to be part of our South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

Drive impact across South Australia’s primary industries by providing high‑quality administrative support within SARDI’s Research Support branch. This role is central to ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and enabling our research teams to deliver outcomes that strengthen the state’s agricultural, environmental, and regional future.

You will play a key role in supporting the agency’s priorities, including:

  • Boosting productivity across primary industries and agribusiness.
  • Strengthening biosecurity and supporting sustainable, efficient use of natural resources.
  • Growing regional communities by supporting development initiatives and expanding local opportunities.
  • Building strong partnerships with industry, stakeholders, research organisations, and regional communities.
  • Enhancing organisational performance as part of a modern, flexible, and people‑focused agency.

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.

  • Full time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week

Requirements

  • Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive.
  • Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
  • Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
  • You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations when applying for a role.
  • The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
  • Contribute to out-of-hours call-outs and rosters in line with the emergency response plan for SARDI’s South Australian Aquatic Sciences Centre, North Arm Store and Roseworthy facility.

 

Remuneration


ASO3 - $71,589 min - $76,033 max per annum, plus superannuation
