About the Role:

Join us as a Population Health Data Research Scientist and lead innovative, data-driven research that improves health outcomes and informs clinical practice, service planning and policy. Working with complex health data and advanced analytical methods, you'll have the autonomy to deliver high-impact research, collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, secure competitive funding, and translate evidence into meaningful change that benefits communities.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

• PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise leading complex, data-driven research projects, including funding acquisition and publication.
• Advanced knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, population health analytics, data linkage and large health datasets.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, with proficiency in statistical software and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong understanding of research governance, ethics, data privacy, quality, safety and person-centred care principles.

Desired Criteria 

• Knowledge of rural healthcare and research, including rural and/or Aboriginal population health.
• Experience analysing complex multimorbidity health datasets.
• Postgraduate qualification in clinical research or a related clinical field.
