Join Clare Hospital as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, where you'll support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in the operational and clinical leadership of the inpatient unit and ED, promoting safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

About the Role

As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager you will:

Support clinical leadership and the delivery of high-quality nursing care, contribute to team coordination, mentor staff, and support day-to-day service delivery and continuous improvement.  Key responsibilities:

  • Provide proficient clinical nursing/midwifery care while supporting day-to-day unit leadership
  • Assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager with staffing, rostering, leave management, and workforce planning
  • Support and guide nursing and midwifery staff, students, and less experienced practitioners
  • Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and safe patient outcomes
  • Contribute to service coordination, patient flow, and multidisciplinary collaboration

Who Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a motivated and capable nurse or midwife who:

  • Is registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Has a minimum of three years post-registration experience or is currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife
  • Demonstrates leadership capability and the ability to support and develop others
  • Possesses strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Is committed to culturally safe, person-centred care and rural health service delivery
