We are currently seeking applications for a Contract Manager to join the Commercial and Procurement Branch at The Department of Treasury & Finance for an ongoing role.

Remuneration:  ASO5 – Salary Range ($89,007 to $98,991 p.a.).

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Category Management, this role is responsible for the ongoing management of complex and strategically significant across government contracts. The role supports contract management activities within allocated categories, ensuring contracts deliver value for money, manage commercial risk and support government policy and operational objectives.

About you

Working closely with Public Authorities, suppliers and internal stakeholders, the Contract Manager will be experienced in providing expert contract management advice, supporting the implementation of new contractual arrangements and contributing to the continuous improvement of contract management practices across government.

To be successful you will:

  • Be experienced in managing the day-to-day administration and delivery of complex contracts in accordance with contractual arrangements, governance requirements and performance expectations.
  • Be experienced in supporting contract establishment by participating in transition and handover activities and contributing to contract management inputs for procurement planning and documentation, including performance measures and contract management plans.
  • Have experience monitoring supplier performance against contractual obligations and agreed KPIs, identifying emerging issues or risks and escalating matters as required.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to contribute to briefings, reports and recommendations.
  • Have analytical and reporting skills relating to contract performance, risks and issues to support effective contract oversight and decision-making.
