Overview: The Safety and Quality Unit leads and supports system‑wide safety and quality improvement; clinical governance and consumer experience initiatives across SA Health. The Unit has a strong focus on strengthening system capability, improving patient outcomes and experience, and supporting consistent, high-quality care through policy, frameworks and system improvement activities. Current portfolios within the Unit include national accreditation and consumer experience including patient-reported experience measures (PREMs). This position contributes to statewide safety and quality priorities and initiatives. The Senior Project Officer (ASO7 & AHP3):
In addition to the Senior Project Officer responsibilities outlined above, employees appointed at the RN/M3 provide clinical nursing/midwifery expertise to support statewide safety and quality improvement initiatives across SA Health. RN/M3 employees apply advanced clinical knowledge, professional judgement and practice expertise to inform policy, project, assurance and system improvement activities. They provide clinical advice and leadership to support evidence-based decision-making and contribute to improved outcomes for patients, consumers and health services. Employees at this level exercise a significant degree of autonomy and professional accountability and are recognised as experts within their area of practice.
