What You’ll Drive

Reporting directly to the CIO, the Senior Manager - Cyber Security is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the delivery of highly complex cyber security programs and projects and acting as TAFE SA’s principal authority on cyber security, risk mitigation and related regulatory frameworks and obligations. The role manages complex, dynamic threat environments and emerging cyber security challenges and leads and directs operational initiatives that have direct and critical impact on TAFE SA financial, operational, and reputational security threats. 

The Skills You Bring

  • Extensive experience leading complex, enterprise-wide cyber security programs that protect financial, operational and reputational security, while aligning with regulatory obligations, organisational strategy and digital transformation.
  • Strong expertise managing dynamic threat environments, cyber risk identification and mitigation, resilience, assurance, cross-agency coordination and the integration of security into innovation agendas.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams across dispersed organisations, embedding cyber security policies, standards and practices that identify, monitor and mitigate risk.
  • Contemporary knowledge of ICT project and change management methodologies, cyber security tools and trends, and relevant frameworks including SACSF, SAPSF, Essential Eight, ISO/IEC 27001 and AS/NZS 31000.
  • Exceptional judgement, executive-level advisory, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and cyber security accreditation or certification.

What You Need to Know

A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.

Applicants must hold or must be eligible to obtain an AGSVA security clearance.
