About the role As a Shift Supervisor, you'll play a key leadership role in keeping laboratory services running smoothly and efficiently at SA Pathology. Working as part of a supportive leadership team, you'll oversee the sorting and accessioning of specimens, ensure established protocols are followed, and coordinate daily workflows to meet service demands. Your practical expertise and calm approach will help resolve issues as they arise, ensuring requests are processed accurately and on time. You'll also lead and support a small team of Operational Services Officers, providing guidance, monitoring performance against key indicators, and offering constructive feedback to help staff grow and succeed. Through regular collaboration with medical, scientific, technical and operational colleagues—and clear communication with external clients—you'll help deliver a reliable, high-quality pathology service that makes a real difference to patient care. About You You're an experienced, confident supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced laboratory environment and leads with clarity, care and accountability.
