Join Our Exceptional Team: Midwifery Unit Manager, Postnatal Services

This significant leadership opportunity oversees one of South Australia's busiest postnatal services, including a 42-bed Postnatal Ward and the Midwifery Home Visiting Service. Reporting to the Divisional Leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across postnatal services, ensuring safe, high-quality, person- and family-centred care for mothers and newborns.

The Opportunity

Key responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and community services, managing workforce/rostering and operational requirements, driving quality, safety and compliance, enhancing models of care to improve outcomes, and building a positive, accountable team culture. You will also support service development as WCHN transitions toward the new Women's & Children's Hospital.

This is a management-focused leadership role with accountability for practice standards, team performance and service outcomes.

About You

• Experienced Midwife or Midwife/Registered Nurse with current NMBA registration and a practising certificate, with a minimum of three years' experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within maternity and/or postnatal services
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with confident communication and negotiation capability
• Proven ability to lead change and improve service delivery and outcomes
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, industrial frameworks and professional standards
• Commitment to culturally safe, inclusive, person- and family-centred care
• Strong passion to influence and improve models of care, with genuine enthusiasm, drive, and energy
