The Department for
Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people
and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public
transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the
State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential
and important government services to our community.
The
Opportunity
As
part of the Data and Analytics Platforms Team, this role
contributes to departmental data initiatives by delivering
high-quality data processing, curation and visualisation outcomes.
You will support the development of robust data pipelines and
transform complex data into clear, accessible insights, enabling
evidence-based decision making for stakeholders across the
department.
About
you
You
demonstrate foundational knowledge of data engineering principles
and industry technologies, with experience contributing to
data‑focused projects in academic or team environments. You work
with integrity, accountability and a customer‑focused mindset,
supporting change and risk management. You have a sound
understanding of SQL, basic Python capability, and exposure to data
visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Educational
Qualifications / Licences
- A Degree or relevant
experience in the fields of computer science, software
engineering or related discipline.
Special
Conditions
- A National Police
Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department
for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every
three years.
- A Working with
Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the
Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be
renewed every five years before expiry.
- Some out of hours and
weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring
overnight stays, may be required.
Remuneration
ASO5
- $89,007 to $98,991 pa + superannuation
