Lead the future of older persons mental health care in regional South Australia. An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced clinician to join the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network as a Clinical Senior in Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH). In this role, you will provide advanced clinical, educational and consultancy services within a multidisciplinary mental health team, supporting older people across the region. Working closely with psychiatrists, nursing staff, allied health professionals and community partners, you will deliver person-centred care that supports recovery, promotes independence, and improves quality of life. You will play a key role in clinical leadership - supporting and mentoring staff, contributing to service development, and strengthening OPMH capability across the region. This includes involvement in tele-psychiatry pathways, complex care coordination, and driving improvements aligned with contemporary mental health models of care. Community Mental Health Working in the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network community mental health service involves providing recovery-oriented, person-centred care to address the multiple dimensions of an individual’s well-being. Our multi-disciplinary team is made up of social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and support workers operating both in the community across the EFN region, and from our community mental health centre based at the Port Lincoln hospital. We are privileged to provide services to the Eyre and Far North communities, which are home to wonderful wildlife and offer beautiful wines and incredible seafood in a stunning environment.
