About the Role:

As the Registered Nurse, your duties may include: 

  • Assessing individual trial patient needs, plan, implement and coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies.
  • Providing direct person-centred nursing care and individual case management to patients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time.
  • Using foundation theoretical knowledge and evidenced based guidelines to achieve positive patient care outcomes
  • Planning and coordinating clinical trial protocol requirements with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual trial participant health care needs

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • To be Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with APHRA and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate
  • Previous experience and competence in oncology and/or clinical trials nursing practice
  • Ability to work in demanding environment where multiple priorities may compete
  • Ability to communicate effectively with health care team and external providers
