Job reference: 841547 Location: 5024 - WEST BEACH Job status: Short Term Contract Eligibility: Open to Everyone We have an opportunity for an Information Services Officer to be part of our Fisheries & Aquaculture Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions. This role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of Fisheries Information services, ensuring South Australia’s fisheries are managed sustainably and effectively. You’ll be central to providing high‑quality data services to PIRSA fisheries managers, SARDI scientists, and government partners across the state and interstate. Working with a good level of autonomy, you’ll help keep critical fisheries information flowing — collecting, processing, validating, and reporting on complex datasets that underpin scientific advice and regulatory decision‑making. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will help maintain the integrity of fisheries records that guide long‑term resource sustainability. You’ll also apply your understanding of relevant sections of the Fisheries Management Act 2007 and associated legislation to support the appropriate exchange of information between SARDI Aquatic Sciences and other stakeholders.
