Join the
Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board and play a vital role in protecting
and enhancing one of South Australia's most unique environments. As
an experienced Landscape Officer, you'll contribute directly to the
delivery of key programs and projects outlined in our Regional
Landscape Plan, helping to drive sustainable outcomes across land,
water and biodiversity. In this dynamic role you'll lead and
support initiatives across our core pillars of natural resource
management, including pest plant and animal control, sustainable
agriculture practices, water resource management, biodiversity
conservation, community engagement and education. You'll also
undertake compliance activities and use your knowledge to provide
reliable technical advice to landholders, community and
stakeholders. You'll work closely with local communities, industry
groups and partner organisations, developing strong, collaborative
relationships while delivering practical, science-based solutions
tailored to local needs.
Your
qualifications in environmental science, natural resource
management or similar will be highly regarded, as will your
capacity to undertake training in 1080 baiting, Chemcert
certification and to become an Authorised Officer under the
Landscape South Australia Act 2019.
There
are two positions available, both are for a three-year term; one is
based in the western part of the EP (Elliston, Ceduna or Wudinna)
and the other is in the eastern part of the EP (Cleve or
Whyalla).
