Carclew is looking for a creative, practical and child-centred Play Maker to support an exciting new initiative in the north of Adelaide. A welcoming creative space for children, young people and their adults. This new space will be a place to make, create, play and share. It will support children and families to take part in creative activities, build confidence, connect with others and feel a stronger sense of belonging within their local community. Reporting to the Placemaking Lead, the Play Maker will coordinate and deliver creative, play-based and participatory activities for children, young people and their adults. The role will help create the daily rhythm of the space through art, play, storytelling, sensory activities, music, movement, family sessions, kids clubs, holiday programs and community celebrations. This role will suit someone who enjoys working directly with children and families, can create warm and inclusive environments, and brings creativity, patience and practical energy to activity delivery. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new creative space that places children, play, imagination and community connection at the centre. This is a public sector position offered for an initial term of 2-years. To apply:
