The Leader, Technologies Curriculum 7-12 demonstrates specialist expertise in secondary education, providing high-level advice and leadership across SA Curriculum, Australian Curriculum V9, and SACE. The role directs resources and curriculum development in collaboration with practitioners, leveraging extensive knowledge to guide system-wide implementation and improvement. Technologies education in South Australian secondary schools spans digital technologies, engineering, design, and food and textile technologies. This specialist field drives innovation, problem-solving, and computational thinking, enabling students to engage with emerging trends and ethical practices. Technologies equips learners and the education system to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, global landscape. The
Leader, Technologies Curriculum 7–12 collaborates with the
Curriculum directorate and key stakeholders to implement
evidence-informed curriculum and strengthen teacher capability. The
role monitors emerging trends locally and globally, activating
areas of Impact and guiding strategic learning design to enhance
educational outcomes across the system. Essential: Current full teacher registration. Desirable:
Nil. The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
