Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is seeking multiple Senior Operations Officers to join the Gambling and Associations team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the not-for-profit sector to meet governance and reporting obligations. You will provide expert advice to charities and incorporated associations, assess applications, and support for-profit businesses conducting trade promotion lotteries through high-quality advice and application assessment. About you To be successful in this role, you’ll be motivated, detail oriented, and keen to learn. Experience in regulatory or operational environments is helpful, but not essential. We’re also interested in candidates who are eager to develop these skills and grow in the role. You will bring strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret legislation, identify trends, and develop practical solutions. You’ll also be a confident communicator, able to manage complex enquiries and stakeholder interactions professionally, while consistently delivering high quality, customer focused outcomes. About the Business The Attorney‑General’s Department (AGD) is a key portfolio within the South Australian Government, employing more than 1,900 staff. AGD delivers high‑level legal services and advice to Ministers and government agencies, provides specialist policy support, oversees regulation and compliance functions, and delivers essential services directly to the community. Consumer and Business Services (CBS) is a division of the Attorney-General’s Department and is responsible for protecting consumers, supporting and regulating businesses and recording significant life events for South Australians. CBS is customer focussed and flexible in its activities, providing accessible information and services. The Licencing Branch provides an essential service to South Australian’s seeking to apply for, renew or obtain information on occupational, liquor or gaming licences. The Licencing Branch additionally administers the voluntary and involuntary barring of individuals as it relates to liquor and gaming. The branch also administers the registration and licencing of incorporated associations, charities and lotteries across the state.
