The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.

The Opportunity

Service SA seeks a Business Analyst to provide high‑quality analytical and advisory services supporting the TRUMPS (Transport Regulation User Management Processing System) Program and Projects. Working within a collaborative multi‑disciplinary team, the role identifies and documents business needs, analyses current and future state processes, and supports solution delivery that achieves measurable outcomes aligned with departmental priorities, legislative requirements and strategic objectives.

About you 

You deliver customer focused, strategically aligned services, using clear written and verbal communication to engage stakeholders and resolve complex matters. You work effectively under broad direction, managing priorities and achieving outcomes within deadlines. You bring strong analytical and research skills, significant experience defining and prioritising requirements for complex initiatives, and apply contemporary business analysis techniques within agile or hybrid delivery environments.

Educational Qualifications / Licences 

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, ICT, public administration or a related field, or equivalent experience (desirable).
  • Experience in business analysis within government or complex organisations (desirable).
  • Certifications such as Agile, Business Analyst or PRINCE2 (desirable).

Special Conditions 

  • A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
  • A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
  • Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

 ASO6 - $102,171 to $108,071 pa + superannuation
