For over 120 years, Super SA has supported South Australian public sector employees to build financial security for their future. As a branch of the Department of Treasury and Finance, we are trusted to deliver reliable, member‑focused superannuation services that genuinely make a difference. Our people are at the heart of our success, working in a positive, inclusive and supportive environment where expertise is valued, collaboration is encouraged, and meaningful work is delivered every day.

We’re South Australia’s lead agency for economic, digital, and financial policy outcomes. Our work touches every corner of the state, from enabling frontline services to driving digital transformation. And we do it all with one purpose: to make life better for the people who call South Australia home.

Why This Role Matters

As the Risk and Compliance Officer, you'll play an important role in protecting the integrity of Super SA and supporting the financial wellbeing of South Australians. Working within the Policy, Risk and Governance Directorate, you'll help ensure legislative obligations are met, identify and mitigate potential risks, and contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and good governance. Your work will help strengthen trust, support informed decision-making and enable Super SA to continue delivering positive outcomes for its members.

About The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to build your career in risk and compliance within a respected South Australian organisation. You'll work across a diverse range of activities, from conducting due diligence and fraud monitoring to supporting incident management, compliance reporting and governance initiatives.

Joining a collaborative and knowledgeable team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work, expand your risk and assurance capabilities, and support continuous improvement across Super SA. If you're curious, analytical and motivated by making a difference, this role offers the chance to develop your expertise while helping to protect the interests of members and stakeholders.

About You

You are someone who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and contributing to positive outcomes. You bring a keen eye for detail, an inquisitive mindset and a commitment to maintaining high standards in everything you do. You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings, insights and recommendations.
  • Well-developed relationship-building skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting risk, assurance, compliance or governance activities in a complex, changing environment.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to research issues, assess information and contribute to informed decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and respond effectively to changing business needs.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, controls and operational effectiveness.
