The opportunity
You’ll manage DHUD’s day-to-day social media content across key
platforms. You’ll create and publish engaging posts, support
campaigns, manage community interactions and use insights to
improve performance.
You will:
- Create and manage content across key platforms.
- Monitor channels and respond to comments and queries
professionally and on time.
- Support social media strategy and campaigns to grow
visibility, engagement and followers.
- Track performance, report on results and recommend
improvements.
- Stay across trends and ensure content meets policy, privacy
and platform requirements.
About you
You’re a smart, switched-on digital communicator with sound
judgement. You’re confident writing for public channels, you think
visually, and you know how to use data to improve performance.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to
demonstrate:
- Experience developing, curating and managing content across
social media platforms, and responding to comments and
enquiries professionally.
- Working knowledge of social media management and scheduling
tools (for example Hootsuite or Sprout Social) and content
management systems.
- Strong content creation skills, including basic video and
graphic design capability (for example Adobe Photoshop,
Illustrator or Canva) and the ability to brief or work with
design support.
- Confidence using analytics tools (for example Google
Analytics and platform insights) to track performance and
prepare clear reports with actionable recommendations.
- Ability to contribute to and deliver social media
strategies and campaigns (including paid social, where
required), from planning through to evaluation.
- High attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability
to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy
environment.
- Awareness of SEO principles and the broader digital
communications landscape is desirable, along with an interest
in trends and best practice.
What you need to know
You’ll be required to obtain a National Police Check prior to
employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years. Please refer
to the role description for all special conditions.

Remuneration:
ASO4 – $79,432 min – $83,266 max plus superannuation.
