We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Partnership Engagement Officer (Civil Debt) to join the Fines Enforcement and Recovery Unit (FERU) at Department of Treasury and Finance for a period of up to 12 months. Remuneration: ASO5 – Salary Range ($89,007 pa - $98,991 p.a.) About the opportunity We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join FERU in a key partnership‑focused role supporting civil debt recovery across government. In this role, you will work closely with public authorities, debt partners and internal teams to provide operational guidance, monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve recovery outcomes. You will play an important role in influencing how debt is managed across the system — supporting partners to navigate legislative and operational requirements, strengthening consistency in approach, and contributing to continuous improvement of processes, reporting and system functionality. This role is suited to someone who can balance strong stakeholder relationships with sound judgement, using data, insight and collaboration to support practical, sustainable improvements. Through ongoing reform, FERU is strengthening recovery outcomes while ensuring procedural fairness, compliance with the Fines Enforcement and Debt Recovery Act, and public confidence in the system.
