About the Opportunity

The ODPP Office Manager is a highly skilled and experienced manager responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of key administrative functions. The role develops and maintains highly effective systems and processes consistent with ODPP project and legal requirements.

The role provides leadership and oversight of the administration, corporate and systems managers to ensure the efficient and effective resourcing and delivery of administrative support for all aspects of the prosecution process. With direction provided by the Senior Manager , Business Services, the role is responsible for generating, initiating and progressing important operational and administrative matters and ensuring compliance and manages ODPP finances and budgets. The Office Manager utilises system and process knowledge to provide direction to staff and detailed advice to the Senior Manager, Business Services and the ODPP Director and Executive team.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is an office of approximately 200 staff, comprising both legal and administrative functions. The ODPP was established through the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, 1991 to provide an effective, fair and independent criminal prosecution service for the people of South Australia. The Office is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards.

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
