unique opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership
across offender development services at Mobilong Prison, helping
deliver high-quality education, training and rehabilitation
programs that make a real difference.
About
the role
As Manager,
Offender Development, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team and
oversee a broad range of offender development services,
including:
- Education, vocational
training and rehabilitation programs that address criminogenic
needs and improve employability.
- Collaboration across key
support functions and services to deliver integrated
outcomes.
- Community-oriented
initiatives and partnerships with training providers, employers
and other stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement,
innovation and inclusive education approaches for diverse
cohorts.
- You’ll
work closely with internal leaders and external partners to
deliver evidence-based services that support safer communities
and improved reintegration outcomes.
Key
responsibilities
- Provide
strategic and day-to-day leadership across offender development
services.
- Lead,
mentor and develop a high-performing multi-disciplinary
team.
- Drive
best-practice program delivery, quality and continuous
improvement.
- Build
and maintain strong stakeholder partnerships.
- Manage
resources, planning and service coordination in a secure
custodial environment.

Special
Conditions
• Section 47
of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other
provisions of the act and other applicable industrial
entitlements.
• The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National
Criminal History Check.
• A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential.
• A flexible approach to working hours is required.
• Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may
necessitate overnight absences.
• May be required to work out-of-hours and perform on-call duties
to ensure the prison is able to meet operational and critical
service needs.
Requirements
Essential: A Bachelor’s
degree (or higher) in Education or Vocational Training (or a
closely related field) is essential for this role.
