The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city’s public transport network.

Service SA delivers South Australian Government information and transactional services, predominately Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration, to South Australians through an integrated multi-channel approach. Multi-channel includes Customer Services Centres, Contact Centre, On-line and Agent Service Delivery.

The Opportunity
The Service Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused government services to the South Australian community. Reporting to the Region Manager, this position is responsible for managing staff, overseeing the accuracy of information and transactions, and addressing equipment and on-site facility issues within their scope of control.

As the Manager, a primary focus of the role is to lead, coach, and mentor staff, cultivating the skills and behaviours needed to effectively support a diverse customer base. The Service Delivery Manager ensures customers receive exceptional service and outcomes, always aligned with established policies and procedures.

Available Vacancies 
We have multiple vacancies offering ongoing and temporary positions cross multiple metropolitan centres including: 
Elizabeth, Mitcham, Port Adelaide and Tranmere.

Service SA centres in select locations are open on Saturdays from 9am - 5pm, providing greater convenience for customers with commitments during regular hours. Service Delivery Manager may be required to work one in every four Saturdays, based on a roster schedule.

Qualifications/Experience
A working knowledge of all relevant Acts, and policies and procedures, or a willingness to gain a working knowledge within a six (6) month period will be highly regarded.

Special Conditions
Prior to employment with the Department the successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
  • A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
  • Must be prepared to be reassigned to different Service SA locations during periods of staff absences and high workloads or as required to meet business needs
  • This role is classified as a position of trust and will be subjected to a satisfactory criminal history record check in line with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Some out of hours and weekend work (Saturday) will be required; along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

Remuneration
ASO5 - $89,007 to $98,991 pa + superannuation
