About Us

Picture a career that’s more than numbers. At the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), we’re building a world-class Treasury for South Australia—one that’s innovative, collaborative, and future-focused.

For over 120 years, Super SA has supported South Australian public sector employees to build financial security for their future. As a branch of the Department of Treasury and Finance, we are trusted to deliver reliable, member‑focused superannuation services that genuinely make a difference. Our people are at the heart of our success, working in a positive, inclusive and supportive environment where expertise is valued, collaboration is encouraged, and meaningful work is delivered every day.

We’re South Australia’s lead agency for economic, digital, and financial policy outcomes. Our work touches every corner of the state, from enabling frontline services to driving digital transformation. And we do it all with one purpose: to make life better for the people who call South Australia home.

Why This Role Matters

Learning and development play a critical role in enabling Super SA to deliver high‑quality, trusted services to South Australians. In this role, you help build the capability of our people — supporting leaders and teams to grow, adapt and perform in a complex and evolving environment. Your work strengthens workforce capability, supports organisational priorities, and contributes directly to better outcomes for members and the broader community.

About The Opportunity

As a Learning and Development Consultant, you will partner with leaders and teams across Super SA to design, deliver and continuously improve learning solutions that align with organisational needs. You will:

  • Design and deliver learning programs that build capability, support performance and align with Super SA’s strategic priorities.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify development needs and translate them into practical, engaging learning solutions.
  • Facilitate learning experiences, workshops and capability initiatives that support individual and team growth.
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement of learning frameworks and programs.

This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, values evidence‑based practice, and is motivated by helping others succeed.

About You

You’ll thrive here if you are curious, collaborative, and passionate about building capability in others. We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Designs tailored learning solutions that genuinely engage diverse teams, helping people connect their development to organisational goals and shared purpose.
  • Leads interactive workshops, training sessions and seminars with confidence, creating engaging learning environments that deliver clear and lasting outcomes.
  • Identifies skill gaps and aligns learning programs to performance needs, partnering closely with stakeholders to respond to evolving priorities.
  • Applies strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design, using practical experience to create effective, fit‑for‑purpose learning materials.
  • Measures the impact of learning initiatives, using feedback, assessment tools, and ROI insights to continuously improve future programs.
  • Balances multiple learning projects in a fast‑paced environment, maintaining quality, focus and momentum while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
