  • Salary $91,785 - $106,330 p.a. (pro rata) AHP2 - Full time 12-month contract available

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact? Join Flinders Medical Centre as a Social Worker and help deliver high-quality care within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.

The Social Worker works with a high level of professional autonomy within an interdisciplinary team, delivering quality care to patients on acute wards. They provide assessment, intervention, consultation, and discharge planning, while liaising with community services and coordinating appropriate supports. The role also contributes to service improvement, education, and research to strengthen social work practice across the team.

About you:

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • To work effectively in a multi–disciplinary team using negotiation skills and collaboration to ensure safe outcomes for patients and their families
  • Use social work skills to undertake psycho-social assessments and intervene with patients and their families to effect change
  • Advocate on behalf of patients and their families
  • Work under pressure and meet deadlines and prioritise work appropriately
  • Contribute to staff development activities including service and policy development
