At Flinders Medical Centre, a Clean Environment Saves Lives — Lead the Team Responsible
Lead a dedicated cleaning team at Flinders Medical Centre, maintaining safe, hygienic environments across Southern Adelaide's busiest tertiary hospital.
About the role:
- Commitment to delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the SALHN Integrated Governance Framework and Consumer Engagement Framework and Plan.
- Provide training on cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, bathrooms, toilets, corridors and other hospital areas, emptying waste bins, including clinical and hazardous waste and disposing of it safely, mopping, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming of floors and surfaces, disinfection of high touch areas
- Handling cleaning chemicals safety in accordance with work health and safety practices
- Work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness in accordance with Cleaning Standard for South Australian Healthcare Facilities.
- Assisting in infection control measures, by undertaking enhanced cleaning practices and infectious cleans where necessary
About you:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Ability to exercise judgment on day-to-day tasks.
- High attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to multi-disciplinary staff.
