Role Details: Join the Department for Child Protection as a Case Manager Supervisor or Social Worker Supervisor through a regional pool vacancy across the Far North and Far West. FIFO and DIDO arrangements are available for AHP3 roles, operating on a 5 days on, 2 days off roster. In this leadership role, you will guide and support teams delivering vital child protection services and help shape safer futures for children and young people. In this role, you will
To be successful You will be an experienced practitioner with demonstrated leadership in child protection or human services, including the supervision and development of staff in complex practice environments. You bring strong professional judgement, cultural capability and the ability to guide teams through risk assessment, planning and decision making. You will be confident applying legislation, policy and evidence-based practice frameworks, with the ability to manage competing priorities, allocate resources effectively and contribute to service improvement and strategic objectives. You will be a collaborative leader who communicates clearly, builds trusted relationships and promotes a safe, inclusive workplace that supports staff wellbeing and high-quality outcomes. About the Business: The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia. The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected. Special Conditions: Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
