We are seeking a dynamic Executive Assistant/Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager, the Northern & Yorke Landscape Board and its sub-committees (office location will be either Clare or Gawler).

In this key role, you will be part of the backbone of the Board's operations - providing high-quality, confidential administrative support. Your ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities and communicate effectively will ensure the smooth functioning of governance activities and strategic initiatives.

What will really set you apart from other applicants is your ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships, to engage with a vast array of stakeholders, from Board members to staff, to landholders and community groups as well as your professionalism, integrity and a strategic, flexible approach! 


On any given day you'll be:

  • Coordinating schedules, appointments and meetings;
  • Preparing agendas, reports, correspondence, briefings and minutes;
  • Recording accurate and timely minutes from Board and committee meetings;
  • Delivering professional business writing which includes responses to the Minister's office, the Department for Environment and other key stakeholders; 
  • Providing good governance advice in accordance with legislation, to support informed decision-making;
  • Undertaking research, reporting and small project work on behalf of the Board and the General Manager;
  • Working within the Business & Planning Services team to provide high level customer service to both internal and external clients.


You will be a confident and adaptable professional who has:

  • Exceptional organisational skills, able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Proven experience in providing high-level administrative and secretarial support to senior management;
  • Advanced written communication and business writing capability;
  • A proactive approach including communicating with your manager if timeframes may not be met; 
  • Strong stakeholder awareness with the ability to identify and engage effectively at every level;
  • Proven proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
