As the Ward Clerk you will support the Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) Unit. You will play a pivotal role in the efficient and effective functioning of the ward/unit and responsible for being a central point of co-ordination and communication forward activities.
About the role:
As the Ward Clerk you will work in a multidisciplinary team and provide a professional customer focused clerical service. Duties for the role will include:
- Attending to all enquiries from external and internal customers in a professional, courteous, positive and timely manner
- Providing high quality clerical support to meet ward/unit requirements
- Ensuring that all relevant information (both electronic and hard data) is processed in an accurate and timely manner to support patient care
- Ensuring maintenance (filing and collation) and confidentiality of patient case notes
About you:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive and personal details
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in general administrative activities
- Proven experience in the use of computers and software applications including word processing and electronic mail
