Join Our Team as a Clinical Nurse in Palliative Care!

Palliative care is one of nursing's most meaningful specialisations - and SA Health's Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to bring skilled, person-centred care to patients and families across the Eyre Peninsula. This is a part-time, long-term contract role (leave backfill) based at Port Lincoln Community & Allied Health, with an anticipated end date of 30 March 2029.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver person-centred clinical nursing care and individual case management to palliative care clients across the EFNLHN region, including travel within the region and occasional overnight stays
• Monitor, evaluate and adjust patient care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve consistent, high-quality outcomes
• Work alongside the Palliative Care Advanced Nurse Consultant on clinical, management and education activities
• Provide guidance, mentoring and clinical teaching to student nurses and less experienced registered nurses
• Contribute to clinical auditing, research and evidence-based practice to continuously improve care delivery

What You'll Bring

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, including a valid practising certificate
• Minimum three years' full-time equivalent post-registration experience with demonstrated competence against relevant nursing practice standards
• Confidence working within a multidisciplinary primary health care setting with minimal supervision
• Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills, particularly in complex or sensitive care conversations
• Experience guiding and directing less experienced nurses in a clinical environment
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across the EFNLHN region, including overnight travel as required
