Roxby Downs Health Service

Roxby Downs Health Service is situated approximately 250kms north of Port Augusta. It is a 10 bed (including flex bed) facility. The health service provides an accident and emergency service, as well a general medical, as well has having a wide range of regular visiting outpatient services. Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Roxby Downs

 

About the Role:

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will support the Registered Nurse/Midwife in delivering safe, person-centred care within a structured and supportive clinical environment. Working under supervision, you will plan and undertake care activities within your scope of practice while maintaining accountability for your own actions. In this role, you will contribute to quality improvement, support the wider healthcare team, and assist in guiding Assistants in Nursing and students. You will also provide education to patients, families and carers, while continuing to develop your own clinical skills and knowledge through ongoing learning and evidence-based practice.

 

About You:

• You must be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• You must have experience in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
• You must have broad based general nursing experience.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
